The sticky note
Apple should have built.

Your notes stay on your Mac
macOS 13 and later

Made to feel like paper. Built so a closed note is kept, not lost.

The free version is a full desktop of good notes, not a demo. Everything here costs nothing.

Markdown that stays quiet

Headings, bold, checkboxes and lists style themselves as you type. The markers stay soft, never in the way.

Drop in a photo

Paste or drag an image straight into a note. It lives right there in the text, no attachments panel.

Six warm colors

Butter, Peach, Sage, Sky and more. Enough to sort your desk by feel, tasteful enough to screenshot.

Keep on top, one click

Pin a note above your other windows on the same Space. It floats where you can see it while you work.

Find and gather

Search every note from the menu bar, gather them all to your screen, or fold one down to a single line.

Backed up automatically

Close a note and it moves to the trash, not gone. Snapshots run quietly in the background. Restore anytime.

Tacka Pro · one time $12.99

For notes that pull their weight.

Two things Apple Stickies will never do, plus the small touches that make Tacka worth keeping.

Reminders

Your note comes back on its own.

Set a time and the note resurfaces itself with a notification, right when you need it. No separate to-do app, no list to manage. The note is the reminder.

Follow Me Everywhere

Stays in view, even over fullscreen.

Pin a note above everything, including another app in fullscreen and every Space you switch to. The one thing Stickies cannot cross, Tacka lives on top of.

Premium paper

Lined, grid, dotted, kraft and ivory stock for notes that feel like real stationery.

Capture from any app

Select text anywhere, send it straight to a new Tacka note from the Services menu.

Export to Markdown

Send a note, or all of them, out to clean .md files whenever you want to take them elsewhere.

One price. Yours forever.

You already pay monthly for enough apps. Tacka isn't one of them. Buy it once, keep it through every update.

Questions, answered.

Is Tacka free?+

Yes. The free tier gives you unlimited notes, six colors, markdown, inline images, keep-on-top pinning, search, and automatic backups. Tacka Pro is a one-time $12.99 that adds reminders, floating over fullscreen, premium paper, capture and export. There is no subscription.

How is it different from Apple Stickies?+

Tacka keeps the simple sticky feel but adds markdown, inline images, one-click keep-on-top, reminders, and the ability to float a note over fullscreen apps and every Space. That last one is something Apple Stickies cannot do.

Is there a subscription?+

No. Tacka Pro is a single one-time purchase. You buy it once and it stays yours, through every update.

Do my notes sync between Macs?+

Not yet. Today your notes live on your Mac and are backed up locally, nothing is uploaded. Multi-Mac sync is on the roadmap and will not change the pay-once promise.

What do I need to run it?+

A Mac on macOS 13 Ventura or later. Tacka lives in your menu bar and stays out of your Dock.

Put a note where you'll actually see it.

Always on top, out of your way, and yours for one price. Tacka is coming to the Mac App Store.
